Why Guanacaste?

The North Pacific area of Costa Rica is known for its beautiful beaches and Pura Vida lifestyle. However Liberia and its surrounding areas has also become the most dynamic location in the national economy and the center for companies in the food sector, aquaculture, services, research, clean energy and space propulsion industries.

Ad Astra Rocket, a Houston-based company, has its facilities in Liberia. There, it has developed research on space propulsion technology and the use of hydrogen for clean energy generation. Interesting developments in agriculture and aquaculture in the region have been making efficient use of waste from its operations for energy generation from biomass or plantations for biofuel generation.
